“Hand Over Your Heart” is a fictional novel about Lainey Martin, who has just graduated high school and goes to work as a camp counselor. There, she begins to realize her love for working with special needs people and meets a boy she could potentially fall in love with. She has to seek God’s will and decide what the right direction for her life is.

“A deep voice startled me as it spoke into my ear from behind. ‘It’s the purple streaks in your hair. Caleb’s a total prude. Don’t worry about him.’ The guy at the table, apparently named Caleb, gave me one more look up and down. ‘Yes, well, I’ll be keeping my eyes on you.’ He handed me the schedule of activities and meetings and waved me away. I hated how easily tears came to my eyes and turned quickly to conceal them. I wasn’t sure if I was fighting them because I was offended or angry.”
“Life can be challenging,” Navarro says. “We are exposed to so many different influences. As Christians we may find it difficult in today’s society to remember we must follow God’s standards, not what the world says is acceptable.” In “Hand Over Your Heart” readers will discover a delightful example.
