“Sex in the Title” New York Romantic Comedy Released in Paperback; Rave Reviews Call it the “Male Sex and the City”

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 08, 2014

Author Zack Love has released a paperback edition of his novel “Sex in the Title – a Comedy about Dating, Sex, and Romance in NYC (back when phones weren’t so smart).” The paperback version of the Manhattan romantic comedy is 328 pages and can be purchased online from CreateSpace.

The romance novel, told from a male POV, features funny stories, hilarious sex and dating disasters, interracial romance, and humorous New York stories about five men seeking love in the city. Called the “male Sex and the City,” the book has already garnered rave reviews from readers and blog critics, after its initial publication as a Kindle e-book on October 21, 2013.

Author JL Brooks called it “[a] wickedly brilliant story [that] reminded me of the grand influence and power of the written word…[The novel] spans several genres and does it with such cleverness, you cannot help but be impressed…one of my all-time favorite reads.”

The Blissful Book Blog wrote that this was “the funniest book I [have] read in a long time…Never before have I had so much fun with five totally clueless but completely lovable guys…This book is so much more than a ‘Romantic Comedy’…[It’s] funny…clever [and] well written, with superbly developed characters.”

The BOOK fri-ENDS Blog selected “Sex in the Title” as one of its top 13 reads of 2013 and noted that “the situations [the men] go through will have you laughing hysterically one second, cringing the next, sighing in another and getting misty eyed as well…It’s beyond funny, intelligent and heartwarming…”

On Amazon USA the book currently has 70 reviews with an average rating of 4.5; on Amazon UK the romantic comedy has 16 reviews with an average rating of 4.8.

The indie romance fiction title, published on a shoestring marketing budget, has seen exponential sales growth that could eventually make it a bestseller. About two months after the novel was first published, it hit # 3,290 out of all paid Kindle books, and # 71 in humor. When offered for free, the novel ranked # 46 out of all free Kindle books on Amazon, # 3 in humor, and # 5 in romantic comedy.

The Facebook page for “Sex in the Title” has also grown dramatically: it jumped from its first like on November 13, 2013 to over 1,500 likes in under two months.

Building on the “Sexual Quotient” (SQ) concept that he developed in his novel, author Zack Love also created the “SQ Calculator,” a web and Facebook app that uses crowd-sourcing to determine how sexy someone is. The app is in the final stages of development and will be open initially to those who sign up at http://www.SQCalculator.com.
